Sometimes it’s the little things that kids do that need celebrating. Not every teenager is going to write a book or launch something into space. Sometimes just finally getting down to doing your chores is a victory. That is one of the reasons I love this story about a UK teen who found a winning lottery ticket after being nagged into cleaning his room.
Truthfully, there’s nothing terrific about cleaning your room. But I love what this very normal boy said after being asked what he would do with his winnings (about $85,000):
“I’ll probably put some down on a house and treat my mum and dad to a holiday.” He also plans to help his younger brother buy a car.
Sweet right?
